Management Changes In The Orchard

Under Brad Navin, CEO, New York-based The Orchard has promoted four senior executives and added a vice-president engineering.

The Orchard, a marketing and distribution company specializing in music and video entertainment, offers content owners and licensors a suite of custom marketing services – including promotions, analytical tools, business strategies – and the technology that drive content sales across its network of more than 660 digital storefronts and mobile carriers in 75 countries.

Prashant Bahadur has been appointed general manager, with responsibility for the execution and supervision of the company’s global business strategy. He joined The Orchard in 2004 as director of retail marketing after working at PepsiCo in marketing, and then at EMI where he worked across the sales, marketing, and new media areas.

Josh Builder is now vice-president, product development and operations, overseeing the implementation and rollout of product strategy, product technology design, and content management and delivery. Previously, senior director, operations, he joined The Orchard in 2006 after working on new technology development for T-Mobile.

Jaclyn Ranere, now vice-president digital marketing, oversees global marketing for online and mobile retailers, interactive marketing and promotional campaigns for The Orchard’s clients, and corporate marketing. Formerly responsible for North American online and mobile retail. her previous experience includes running a music marketing and video production company focusing on digital media; and serving as brand marketing manager at eMusic.

Scott Bergman, recently senior director of physical sales and marketing, is now vice-president, sales and marketing. managing the sales and marketing for The Orchard’s physical distribution arm. Prior to joining The Orchard, Scott worked at EMI/Astralwerks as national director of sales and marketing, and director of sales for Atlantic Records.

In addition, Tom Lorenc has joined the company as vice-president engineering. He was earlier director of technology for RDAI and earlier filled various technology roles for: Visible World, Maxim Online, C2 Creative, Zingy, Razorfish Inc., and IBM.
