#ibc2010 Connected World

Umm, #ibc2010 would have been better not to make mention / use the term ‘digital signage zone’ ever again but we see in their latest email missive ‘Exhibit at the Connected World‘ to potential exhibitors that the term crops up again AND this after we were so nice to them in our last post ‘#ibc2010 Gives Up On Digital Signage Zone‘ thinking perhaps they had got the point and dropped it!

All of this below sounds rather grandiose for 19 stands (and that’s if they sell them all)…

“This year, for the first time, the Connected World at IBC2010 will showcase the new technologies driving this revolution under one roof in Hall 9. Specific feature areas within the Connected World will include the Mobile, IPTV and Digital Signage Zones, the Connected World Hub and the Connected Home of the future”.

In 2009 Panasonic, Bell Micro, Stinova, 1080dots Digital Signage, MultiTouch Ltd, Zero creative, Brightsign, Future Software, AOpen and Spinetix were the only ‘digital signage vendors’ to exhibit and we doubt if any of those will return in 2010.

2008 was even worse (no more than 8 booths) and you can safely give this event a miss.

The Connected World at IBC2010 runs from the 10th – 14th September 2010 at the RAI, Amsterdam and is being jointly developed and marketed by IBC, IT Europa and BPL Broadcast Ltd.
