The Canadian Out-of-home Digital Association/Association canadienne de l’affichage numérique (CODACAN) [1] has announced its new board, effectively joining the Quebec and Ontario chapters into one, strong, national voice for the Digital Out-of-Home industry.
It is the hope of CODACAN that this new, unified approach will help establish DOOH as a valid and unique segment of advertising, says Gaetano Cardone, president of Fokus Media [2], Montréal and the newly elected vice-chair of CODACAN,
“Being a relatively new media, CODACAN’s objective is to increase the overall awareness of Digital Out-of-Home and all the benefits this technology brings about,” says Cardone. “This out-of-home revolution of rapid content changes, interactivity, day-part scheduling, full motion content just to name a few attributes, brings forth incredible flexibility & opportunities to media planners – only previously available by T.V. and the web.”
