#ISEUROPE – Adds Extra Hall

With bookings for the 2011 edition of Integrated Systems Europe running at 90% of available space, organiser Integrated Systems Events [1] last week announced that the show will occupy an additional hall (hall 9) at the Amsterdam RAI.

The opening of the RAI’s Hall 9 gives ISE the chance to accommodate the varying needs of exhibitors who want to increase the amount of space they occupied in 2010, as well as companies who will be new to the event next year we are told.

Mike Blackman, Managing Director, Integrated Systems Events told us “Four months after ISE 2010 closed its doors, we continue to be approached by exhibitors who would like to take larger stands than they had this year. Some of these requests were impossible for us to accommodate within our existing floorplan and this, combined with continuing high levels of bookings from new exhibitors, has prompted us to open up Hall 9 for ISE 2011.”

Located between Halls 10 and 11, which were used by ISE in both 2009 and 2010, Hall 9 is approached from the Holland foyer of the RAI, with its entrance close to the exhibition centre’s own train station, tram stop and other public transport connections.

Hall 10 of course is the home of ISE’s second Digital Signage area (where the DailyDOOH Blogger Lounge and OVAB Europe’s Digital Signage Showcase areas were) which will also be enlarged for 2011. From an industry perspective we’d like to see ALL of the digital signage in one hall – sorry folks in Hall 12 but we think you all need to move to Hall 10. The digital signage zone outgrew Hall 12 [2] last year and needs more space and the industry needs its own hall. We need to start showing the AV community just what we can and are doing.

No one technology or application will be emphasised in Hall 9 “We expect Hall 9 to contain a mix of manufacturers large and small, offering a broad range of new AV and systems integration solutions,” added Mike, “There will also be a number of new pavilions introducing technologies new to ISE, and further details of these will be announced in due course.”

With a total of 28,489 attendees, ISE 2010 attracted the largest number of visitors in the event’s history. Those attendees saw products from 640 exhibitors – up from 564 in 2009 and another record for the show. Over 83% of the exhibit space for ISE 2011 was already booked before the 2010 event had concluded, and this figure has continued to grow in the intervening period.

Integrated Systems Europe 2011 will take place at the Amsterdam RAI, Netherlands, from 1–3 February 2011.
