Unicomm LLC, a leading event management company in Milford Connecticut, in partnership with Bob Dowling, former editor-in-chief and publisher of The Hollywood Reporter and president of The Bob Dowling Group based in Los Angeles, have announced the creation of the Mobile Entertainment Summit.

Unicomm, producers of the 3D Entertainment Summit and 3D Gaming Summit among others, is planning this high level strategy and networking event as an exploration of all facets of the mobile entertainment industry. To be held December 6-7, 2010, in Los Angeles, it will be presented in association with Variety and in partnership with the Mobile Excellence Awards, the industry’s most prestigious awards program for the mobile industry, which will take place on December 6 at LA’s Paramount Studios.

The Mobile Excellence Awards honours the best of the best in mobile entertainment, technology, marketing, and media. The Awards represent all walks of the mobile ecosystem from start-ups, studios, content providers, entertainment, apps, and handsets, to brands and more.

“The growing reach of mobile handsets and the mobile web has driven the reach of mobile entertainment to a disruptive level,” says Bob Dowling, conference chair. “Given the size of the mobile audience, we will help connect music, movie, television and gaming executives with mobile technology suppliers and integrators to help accelerate new mobile business plans.”

The Mobile Entertainment Summit will expected to attract the brightest minds in the mobile ecosystem. Delivering two days of packed in-depth discussions, the summit will deliver strategies to capitalize on this rapidly changing landscape. The Mobile Entertainment Summit will attract senior level decision makers, leading press and market analysts.

“Mobile entertainment has emerged as the most influential media on the mobile platform and recent entries into the market place demonstrate that the mobile entertainment market remains open and competitive,” says Sarah Miller, CEO, Axis Marketing & PR and founder and chair, Mobile Excellence Awards. “We are thrilled that the Mobile Entertainment Summit is partnering with the Mobile Excellence Awards to create this industry’s ‘must attend’ events.”

To enhance industry interaction, the event’s organizers have developed a unique interactive showcase area for the event to allow technology and service vendors to meet with industry stakeholders to discuss business issues, demonstrate products and build partnerships.

”The Mobile Entertainment Summit was created to attract attendees from all facets of the industry to gain insight, education and a vision of how mobile entertainment will evolve over time,” says John Golicz, CEO of Unicomm. “Positioning the Mobile Entertainment Summit at this intersection of technology and content will allow our attendees to gain market awareness and most importantly, educate the relevant stakeholders in the entertainment and mobile industry about their products.”

Industry partners include Interpret LLC, Santa Monica, California, and UCLA Anderson School of Business Management amongst others.
