Zoompass Wins Best Mobile Application Award

Zoompass, the joint venture between Canadian telecommunications companies Bell Canada, Rogers Communications Inc., and TELUS Corporation, has been presented with the ‘Best Mobile Application’ award from Advanced Card Technologies (ACT) Canada.

ACT is an international association for the advancement of card technologies. ACT Canada is positioned as the authority on the Canadian market in terms of secure payment, secure identity management and other advanced applications.

Zoompass is a free app that’s available on the iPhone, BlackBerry and Android devices and gives customers the ability to send, receive and request money, check account balance, review transactions, all by using the mobile phone. Zoompass was chosen the winner because of its leading edge encryption technologies and because its is easy and fast to use, with a PIN needed to send money.

Zoompass can be used on mobile devices operating on the Bell, Fido, PC Mobile, Rogers, Solo Mobile, TELUS and Virgin Mobile networks.

The year-old Zoompass is provided by EnStream LP, a mobile commerce joint venture company owned by Bell, Rogers and TELUS. They are focused on bringing transformational mobile payment solutions to market and developing user-friendly mobile services that will make it easier for consumers to perform mobile transactions
