Pop Up Video Wall Experience

World Cup fans stuck in Markham Ontario Markville Mall during last weeks’ Quarter Final Rounds must have been pleasantly surprised by a 3×3 video wall playing live World Cup content in the atrium of the mall.

The pop-up install, done by Gridcast Media [1], a Digital Signage content provider and integrator, featured mall-centric content intermixed with live TV soccer feed.

The project, aimed at improving shopper experience in the mall, was well received as evident by the huge crowds that gathered to watch the weekend matches.

The installation used Samsung’s 460UT ultra-thin bezel displays with Samsung’s Samsung ID [8] mobile video wall kit allowing for Lego-like video wall construction of floor-standing video walls. All mall-specific content was created and produced by Gridcast Media’s in-house content team.
