Montreal-based Zoom Media Inc., major provider of targeted lifestyle media in Canada, has acquired the outstanding 50% equity share in Fashion Frame that was previously owned by its founders.

Zoom had already purchased an initial 50% equity stake in 2007, and now is the sole owner and operator of Fashion Frame which includes more than 4,500 static billboards in the fitting rooms of more than 450 major retail fashion stores across Canada. The founding partners of Fashion Frame, Danielle Chagnon and Martyne Rioux will join the existing management team at Zoom Media.

“We have been pleased with annual growth during the first three years of our Fashion Frame partnership and look forward to building on the solid foundation Zoom and Fashion Frame have created,” says Andy Querin, president and COO of Zoom Media. “Fashion Frame has already provided additional exclusive opportunities for our clients to effectively reach their customers and the acquisition was a natural progression for both companies. Zoom is committed to expanding the offering of our newest network.”

Chagnon says, “Our positive experience in working with Zoom and natural synergies for our advertisers and retail partners will ensure ongoing success as we continue to build out our Canadian footprint. We are pleased to join the Zoom Media team and look forward to bring the same dedication and passion we had as entrepreneurs building Fashion Frame to now help the entire Zoom Media network.”

Fashion Frame will be completely integrated into the entire operations of Zoom immediately, says Querin.

“Fashion Frame is Canada’s largest targeted integrated in-store marketing network and also offers clients sampling, media, promotional and customized creative opportunities in change rooms,” he says. “This acquisition together with our existing digital and static networks strengthens Zoom’s position as one of the leading OOH companies in Canada.”
