Free Digital Signage Training

Gail Chiasson, North American Editor

Ingram Micro and its Ingram Micro CONNEX, technology solutions are, on Sept.23/10, offering DOOH consultant Lyle Bunn’s prestigious SPEED program to any and all Ingram Micro resellers, at no cost.

The SPEED program, which is comprised of eight modules (3 hrs, total), teaches current and future resellers of digital signage the nuances of digital signage technology and project planning.

The program will cover technology, objectives, timelines, budgets, and define key elements of a digital signage initiative leading to technology selection, deployment, growth and successful operations. It will be further customized to offer an increased hardware and network focus to give the IT and AV reseller the most relevant content.

After completion of the course resellers should be well equipped to discuss and sell digital signage to their customers.

SPEED is approved for 4 RUs for the InfoComm International CTS, CTS-D, and CTS-I certifications, so any CTS tech should attend. The event is being held at Toronto’s Old Mill Inn and Spa. You can register through this link.

Attendants must be registered for Ingram Micro CONNEX and indicate that they are interested in the Exclusive Digital Signage training to participate. Those registering will be contacted individually to confirm their attendance. Spots are limited, so we hear you should register quickly.

This is a chance to network with peers, devlop new business contacts, and meet Bunn personally. (For those who don’t know him: Bunn is a highly regarded, widely recognized and well connected consultant, author and educator advancing digital signage and dynamic place-based media.)

  1. Steve Gladden Says:

    Although i trust Lyle and his opinion when given in discussion, all these consultant digital signage training courses make me feel a little uneasy.

    Ingram Micro has tried tirelessly to legitimize having a division dedicated to digital signage, and so far (even though i don’t look at the books) I’d grade the effort no higher than a C-. The main factor for their lack of success in this area is that all the resellers who attend their DS events are nowhere near equipped to sell the solution (or in many cases any single piece therein).

    So after the SPEED event they will walk away able to sell, that much i have confidence in. But the question remains, what will be the quality of the solution? That’s where Lyle Bunn, Alan Brawn, and the rest have the most work to do.

    ::sigh::
