There Are Unused Flights In Your Airport

Our collection of ‘Digital Signage bloopers’ would not be complete without this nice picture, taken in Dallas Fort Worth international airport on Sunday…

here you go… from a .wsf execute on player box …

WshShell.RegWrite(“HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Software\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\Explorer\\Advanced\\EnableBalloonTips”, 0, “REG_DWORD”);

and please someone make a note on this, it’s starting to get stupid….

Why Windows based digital signage software providers cannot build an optimised embedded Windows image that suppresses all notifications/pop-ups, I’ll never understand. Plus creating an embedded image removes thousands of redundant operating system files and programs that cause the instability that we see time and time again captured in pictures like the one above.

If you want total stability, drop the operating system all together and go for an IAdea SMIL device or similar.

Jason,
Wrong answer. you are mixing DS software Provider with Embeded plataform builders. Some say can do both, but those are very few. You dont change your DS software, you change the company that builds the OS.
