Cossette Communication Group, Canada’s largest home-grown communications group, has formally announced the launch of Bloom Digital Platforms, a new business unit dedicated to the development and operation of innovative digital marketing technologies.

Since Oct/07, Bloom has been quietly developing products to provide brands with new ways to engage consumers. This strategic investment is part of Cossette’s efforts to be on the leading edge of digital communications opportunities.

Bloom is applying Cossette’s industry experience to four product development streams: online advertising platforms, brand reputation technologies, media widgets and mobile applications.

“Digital has become central to communications, and brands need new ways to connect and interact with consumers,” says Pierre Delagrave, president, Cossette Media, Research and Interactive Services.

Bloom is building on the success of Cossette’s existing platforms such as AdCentric, a proprietary technology for targeting, controlling and measuring online advertising. In addition to developing technology internally, Bloom is licensing technology components and pursuing development partnerships where appropriate.

“By working more closely with media companies and technology providers, Bloom will help great brands engage with consumers in the niche media environments where people are increasingly spending their time,” says Yves Poiré, Bloom’s president. “The resulting data and relationships will yield the digital marketing models of the future,”.

Cossette Communication Group has operations in Canada, the U.K. and U.S..
