Viscom Paris Attendance Figures

Viscom Paris suffered less than feared from the transport strike that hit its third and final day. Reed Expositions France has reported an attendance of 11,324 visitors, representing a ‘marginal reduction’ of 5.5% on the figure for 2009 and a remarkable achievement in the circumstances. During the three-day event, international visitor numbers grew by 19% compared to last year, with representatives from North Africa particularly strong in numbers – Morocco, Tunisia and Algeria were among the top five visitor countries.

With 183 exhibitors, 27% of which were international, Viscom Paris 2010 covered four themes: signage, digital and silkscreen print, cutting, marking and finishing, and dynamic digital signage.

Meanwhile, the other show that was held in Paris that same week, Equipmag published audited figures for its 27th edition showing an attendance of 19,577 and 406 exhibitors. After a poorer performance in 2008 with 11,835 visitors, it has now exceeded the previous record of 18,559 in 2006, and is well ahead of the Marketing at Retail Show that I wrote about in April which recorded 15,800 visitors.

The next Viscom Paris will again be held at the Exhibition Park at Villepinte, north of Paris, on September 27 – 29, 2011. The next Equipmag will take place in September 2012, and the next Marketing at Retail exhibition is scheduled for April 2012 – both at the Porte de Versailles Exhibition Centre in Paris intra muros.
