There are a couple of things that we are really looking forward to at next week’s viscom frankfurt 2010 [1] (4th to 6th November); one of these is on booth G12 in Hall 3 which will see the ‘revolutionary’ ~sedna touch [2] multitouch table T6.7 (shown here) and first Mac-based Digital Signage software suite ~sedna presenter.
[3]This will be our first chance to have a play ourselves with both having written about them pretty extensively [4] these past few months.
The Touch T6.7, is a multitouch table system. It allows viewing, selecting and editing of photos. This combination of multitouch technology and multiuser application is revolutionizing image-handling workflow and is perfectly suited for publishing houses and newspapers.
The ~sedna touch multitouch table Touch T6.7 will be available in Q4 of 2010 for a retail price of 69.500 € / US$89,500 (excl. VAT).
The ~sedna touch application Touch Image will be available in Q4 of 2010 for a retail price of 29.500 € / US$38,500 (excl. VAT).

Let’s try to put this into perspective:
Their Table: ~9 times more expensive than Microsoft Surface ($10k).
Their Software: ~38,500 times more expensive than Microsoft WPF (free).
At face value this product is one ugly over-priced sack of mac.
