Baanto™ International Ltd. [1] today announced that they have completed a Series “A” round of funding that included Christie Digital Systems Canada Inc [2]. as the lead investor.

Bob Rushby, Chief Technology Officer at Christie Digital Systems Canada Inc. told us “Christie has been looking for touch solutions to complement its product line. We believe that Baanto ShadowSense offers an important technology that has significant benefits in terms of performance, scalability and flexibility.”
We are told that “this new round of investment will enable Baanto to continue to enhance its growing range of advanced multi-touch products based upon the proprietary and patented ShadowSense® technology” – it was ShadowSense that was integrated with MicroTiles at #InfoComm2010 – basically Baanto systems are capable of highly accurate tracking of active or passive objects in both 2D and 3D.
