Eurowide Media Ltd

At the moment the only true European network operator is Neo Advertising – based out of Switzerland with operations in Germany, Austria and Canada and of course a big Broadsign user and with some impressive clients, Carrefour, Ece, Edeka, McDonalds etc.

There is another Broadsign customer close by that is rumoured to be near an acquisition / merger that would also give it a couple of countries of operation but at the moment they are still very much in one country.

Interesting then to see Eurowide Media Ltd appear on the scene.

Registered as a UK limited company as recently as 31/08/2007 it is I believe to all intents and purposes, Ashingo or part of Ashingo.

Ashingo was setup a few years ago with investment from Vijay Thakrar and their first screen network was the Bluewater Shopping Mall.

Earlier this year, industry veteran Maurizio Caruso, left Hughes Network Systems to join Ashingo and he is now COO at Eurowide Media Ltd.

Ashingo are not on listed on the UK’s Alternative Investment Market (AIM) yet but did register their interest in 2006. In their statement to AIM they described themselves as: –

Ashingo will acquire businesses specialising in digital media advertising in pubs, clubs, educational, sports, leisure and other people intensive venues. JAN 2006

There’s a very strong rumour that Vijay is trying to put a deal together to purchase the whole or various assets of ScreenFX and Avanti Screenmedia to create a bigger operator network. Combining the two mall networks is something that you will remember I suggested before so I hope that bit at least comes off.

So, is it Ashingo or EUROWIDE MEDIA LIMITED that will eventually aqcuire Avanti and ScreenFX?
