Redfish Gets Own Watchfire Digital Billboards

Redfish Advertising, Tulsa, Oklahoma, has installed two 19mm digital billboards, manufactured by Watchfire Digital Outdoor, Danville, Illinois, about 1,500’ apart on Interstate 44, one of Tulsa’s most highly traveled roads with a traffic count of over 100,000 vehicles daily.

The billboards, a 10’x30’ and a 10’x36’, face opposite directions and are located between the Yale Avenue and 41st Street exits. Dax Neal, Redfish Advertising owner, says that the two digital billboards allow him to sell packages to advertisers who want their message to reach both the east and westbound traffic patterns on I-44 and, still only pay for the price of one digital billboard. Advertisers include hotels, a local university, retailers and service providers.

Neal selected his digital billboards from Watchfire because the displays are more vivid and look better “Watchfire billboards display images with more clarity than competitors,” he says. “The white on Watchfire billboards is very white and not muddled like other boards. I can actually display ads with white backgrounds, something I couldn’t do on a competitor’s board because the white would look washed out.”

Vibrancy and color is especially important to Redfish Advertising because the company features local visual artists in promotional spots.

“We like to feature artwork because it’s interesting for viewers to look at while also supporting local artists,” said Neal.

“Tulsa is a very energetic billboard market and we look forward to seeing our presence grow among independent operators like Redfish Advertising.” said Darrin Friskney, director of Watchfire Digital Outdoor.
