Despite many people’s protestations everyone is for sale at the right price and news came in over this past holiday season that Dusseldorf based service provider Cittadino [1] is actively for sale.
They claim to have been doing digital signage related work for the past 3 or 4 years although most in Germany would probably see them only as a glorified video production company (albeit a video production company founded back in 1989) and they do have their own digital signage software although whether that counts for them or against them at this point in time is anyone’s guess.
Revenue is only EURO 3 million or so and we don’t know what the asking price is but it could be an interesting acquisition for someone who wants to get into the service provider or content space.
Amongst the shareholders in the business we believe are Dierk Filmer and T-Venture [2].
