#NRF New York New Hotels

Adrian J Cotterill, Editor-in-Chief

If you are going to the NRF 100th Annual Convention & Expo the week after next in New York (the conference programme starts 9th January, EXPO proper 10th – 11th) we hope you have booked your hotels by now but if you haven’t, or you are being really good and planning WELL ahead for #CETW in New York in October (yes we know that #CETW in San Francisco comes first) or even planning, like us for the DPAA Media summit which is also likely to be in October then there are couple of new NYC hotels which might be worth looking at.

We’ve always struggled finding nice but reasonably priced hotels which can also be a bit of fun…

  • Described by many of the UK Weekend newspapers as the “hippest new option” the Nolitan Hotel is the first luxury boutique hotel in the downtown district that sits just north of Little Italy (hence its name). We think it is reasonably priced with doubles starting from USD 323 a night
  • ALOFT (part of Starwood Hotels Group) has also opened ALOFT HARLEM which is Harlem’s first new hotel in 40 years and we are told that it is very nice. Doubles here start from USD 209 a night.

Definitely NOT everyone’s cup of tea and a hotel not ready for #NRF but it will be open by October intime for #CETW will be the new Yotel Times Square. It will feature 669 cabin rooms, making it the largest hotel opening planned for New York in 2011!

The next Customer Engagement Technology World the event(s) formerly known as KioskCom and The Digital Signage Show is being held at the Moscone Centre in San Francisco April 27th and April 28th 2011.
