Shops Scent The Secret Of Success

As if last week wasn’t good enough with UK mainstream press coverage Daily Torygraph readers waking up Saturday morning and turning to page 5 of the quality British broadsheet would have seen an article entitled ‘Shops scent the secret of success’
In that article Mood Media’s Lorne Abony expands on ‘Lotus Flower’ (a floral smell with hints of moss) and all things scent related in shops AND soon, he predicts in banks!
We’d disagree with Lorne’s statement “The longer you can get a customer to stay in the store, the more likely they are to buy” – there’s no research to say that propensity to hang around in a shop leads to increased buying habits but the fact that a store can smell ‘right’ could.
Anyway a great article and well worth a read (we are trying to track down an online link but needless to say that Mood will publicize themselves next week).
