At Viscom Paris Distec had a nice sized stand and showed off a couple of Daktronics LED displays and their fabulous (non-Digital) light columns [1] but what we really caught our eye was this solar powered Scroller.
The content on the scroller was awful, errr not eye catching or relevant at all – just an advert for their own product AND not even a very good one at that.
That was a shame because at Viscom there were hundreds of traditional printers and other scroller folks who demonstrated their products with really good eye-catching material.

The content was just a list of the benefits to the environment, so yes they are not eye-catching and do not get the attention they deserve yet! However if the feedback and interest received are any indications, keep an eye out for Solar Powered scrollers in some very prominent locations.
