Gary Schutte Named Chyron’s N.A. Director of Channel Sales

Melville, N.Y.-based Chyron has appointed Gary Schutte as North American director of channel sales, with primary responsibility to build Chyron’s channel sales relationships, with a particular focus on system integration partners.

As the pioneer of graphics as a service for all digital video media, Chyron continues to define the world of digital and broadcast graphics with web, mobile, HD, 3D, and newsroom integration solutions.

Schutte joins Chyron with more than 25 years of experience in sales and management for broadcast products

“Gary’s wealth of experience in this industry over many years will be a valuable asset as we move to a more structured, disciplined channel partner program,” says Bruce Levine, vice-president of North American sales at Chyron. “As he evaluates the efficiency and success of our current channel partner program, Gary will be charged not only with building new relationships, but also with driving forward successful existing channel partner relationships.”

Schutte’s extensive industry experience includes sales and management roles within well-established vendors to the broadcast, cable, corporate, and government markets. He most recently served as vice president of U.S. sales for Artel Video Systems. He earlier was vice- president sales for the Central U.S. for Harris Corporation, where he oversaw the regional sales staff and more than 25 reseller channels, increasing channel sales by more than 20%.

As sales engineering architect at TI Broadcast Integration Group, he managed a highly successful national sales program designed to facilitate broadcasters’ conversion to digital. Prior roles included vice president of sales for the Central and Western U.S. at Leitch Technology and regional sales management roles at Accom Inc., Abekas Video, Microsoft/Softimage, and NEC.
