Kamar Shah Joins mySpark Technologies

Kamar Shah has joined mySpark Technologies, Toronto-based developer of the mySpark Education Platform, as global vice-president of marketing and business development, with responsibility for building the company’s brand and developing strategic business partnerships.

The mySpark Education Platform is an Android-based touch-screen tablet that seamlessly integrates with popular education-based learning management systems to provide what the company says is unprecedented connectivity between students, instructors and social networks.

Shah’s successful track record in the wireless industry as a builder of partnerships between top global brands and as a marketing innovator is expected to help bring the mySpark Education Platform into multiple markets worldwide. He has been a mobile industry executive for more than 15 years, helping to launch some of Europe’s earliest mobile services.

Previously, Shah served as the global head of industry marketing at Nokia as well as heading critical roles – including global head of games, digital advertising and sponsorship – at Orange, the top wireless carrier in Europe. He has developed wireless marketing programs for major brands, including Coca Cola, Sony Music and Universal Music, and is a frequent commentator on mobile trends for leading industry publications as well as at mobile industry trade shows.
