Kate Sheehy has joined Communication Technology Services, Marborough, Massachusetts, as business development manager.
In her new position, Sheehy is responsible for supporting the sales efforts of CTS across all products and services across the U.S., with special efforts on its growing Digital Out-of-Home initiatives.
For Sheehy, who has been involved with technical services, sales and business development for over 10 years, this marks a return to CTS after several years with other technology firms including recently, FXI.
CTS is involved with installation of wireless, broadband and distributed antenna services for carriers and large companies. It has 350 of its own technicians and several hundred other trained subcontractors.
“About three years ago, some customers for whom we were installing broadband made us aware that they needed installation for digital signage,” says Michael, Shaub, CTS national account manager. “We realized that we were dealing with similar customers and moved into digital signage.”
CTS’s Inside Wiring Division handles installation and repair of data services, digital signage and kiosks.
“While digital signage currently comprises only about 10% of our overall business, it was responsible for $8 million in business last year,” says Shaub.
CTS currently has handled digital signage for end users in banks, call centres, doctors’ offices, hospitals, malls and theatres, and, says Shaub, “We can also install media players for fast food chains.”
