#InfoComm11 Cabletime, Booth 4683

Cabletime [1], known for its MediaStar range of IPTV distribution solutions, is targeting a new audience of users with the launch of QuickPlay, a new digital signage product.

QuickPlay, making its debut at InfoComm [2] June 15-17 in Orlando, marks a broadening of the MediaStar range, which has traditionally been aimed at enterprise level, large scale installations.

MediaStar QuickPlay is a plug and play signage solution that delivers HD signage to one or more display screens without need of a centrally managed system or network. Software supplied with QuickPlay allows the user to save and sequence digital signage content preconfigured on their PC or laptop to a USB memory stick and then simply load and display the content onto any screen equipped with a QuickPlay unit.

“QuickPlay is based on our proven Evolution technology,” says David LeMonte Shepherd, president, Cabletime USA. “The difference is that MediaStar Evolution is a powerful content delivery system for networks but MediaStar QuickPlay stands alone, which makes signage easily accessible to any organization; large or small. A simple single-screen application enables users to sequence and manage their video, signage and digital media assets and then play them out across their screens. Content could be as simple as a welcome screen in an office reception, or music videos played out across several screens in a retail outlet.”

Cabletime is making QuickPlay available at just $497 for clients.

“The product is totally solid state, is easy to use, easy to install and offers outstanding value for money,” says LeMonte Shepherd. “Its compact size means that it can be mounted easily and has very low power consumption.”

Focus at Intercom, will also be on MediaStar Evolution, Cabletime’s powerful IP-based delivery solution for streamed media, IPTV and AV content over networks. Evolution is already in use in a wide variety of installations from banks and financial institutions, hotels and leisure centres through to pharmaceutical and retail organisations, government sites and sports stadia.

Cabletime has over 25 years experience in developing hardware and software video delivery systems. Providing solutions for live TV, corporate communications, multicasts, music TV, training and digital signage, Cabletime has over 3,000 installations worldwide and sells through partners in EMEA, USA, Asia, Japan, and Asia Pacific.
