Austrian web company Uma is venturing into the world of DOOH, with a concept it calls semantic web technology. The company has appointed Dietmar Seiler as vice president of interactive products and services.

Seiler will be based at Uma’s headquarters in Vienna, where he will help lead Uma’s strategic directions in interactive design, including installations of Uma’s recently-introduced SKIN product, a semantic display product. Uma SKIN integrates large-scale multitouch LCD displays with the uma semantic web content curation engine for information delivery. Uma SKIN enables personalized content that tracks users with RFID and NFC technology and detects motion using 3D sensor cameras.

Seiler, a veteran executive and creative director in the Austrian digital arts world, will help increase Uma’s profile with the global creative community, including digital agencies; film and television producers; new media producers; arts foundations; artists, and corporate art directors.
