Asics, a leading sports shoe and apparel brand is sponsoring the mysterious “interactive” DOOH event in Times Square [1] that we talked about a while back [2] that coincides with this weekend’s New York City Marathon.
This campaign, which is a collaboration between several companies; Asics’ agency of record, VitroRobertson [3], SinglePoint [4], Show + Tell [5], and Wishoo [6] runs from 31st October to 2nd November.
People can visit the ING NYC Marathon Expo [7] being held at the Jacob Javitz Conference Center in Manhattan and there they can have a photo taken on a green screen whilst selecting various types of background scenes – errr, like crossing the finish line of the marathon 😉
Each photo will be “presented” along with the participant’s name on the ABC Supersign in Times Square. After the photos are taken, a text message will be sent to the individuals telling them what time the photo will be viewable on the sign.
