The Month Ahead (July 2011)

Adrian J Cotterill, Editor-in-Chief

July is traditionally a quiet month in the conference world and it’s no difference this year in our sector.

The invite-only Kinetic Breakfast Briefing in London is on Wednesday, 6th July where they will “reveal insights and forecasts into the future of Out of Home from the point of view of the industry, the consumer and technology”

Then on Thursday, 14 July we have a slight scheduling conflict (don’t organisers ever read our calendar first before making arrangements?) as both the Screen’s The Way To Display Breakfast Briefing and the DNA Conference are being held on the same day.

  • The Way To Display Screen Breakfast Briefing is being held between 9am – 12pm the day before the ‘The Event & Exhibiting Show’ which opens its doors at The Business Design Centre, 52 Upper Street, Islington, London, N1 0QH
  • The one-day DNA Conference will be the first to cover the Digital Out-of- Home Interactive Entertainment (DOE) sector and is supported by the UK Trade & Investment body. It’s being held all day at 1 Victoria Street Conference Centre, London

Between July 20-22, Africa’s AV industry will gather at the Coca-Cola dome, in Johannesburg, South Africa for Mediatech Africa which is the continent’s largest media and entertainment trade exhibition.

Ending the month in the Casa de Campo Resort, Dominican Republic is the MMA Mobile CEO Summit on the 24 – 26 July.

As usual, a special thanks to all those event organisers who have sent us dates for the events which we were missing (and please keep ‘em coming).
