Sean Lyden has joined Outcast digital out-of-home company as vice president product strategy and a key member of the executive team, reporting to Nathan Gill, chief media officer.

Lydon joins the Santa Monica, California-based company from Yahoo! Inc., where he was senior manager of international product strategy.

In addition to its measurable at-the-pump digital network, Outcast offers an extensive retail network, with partners that include Shell, ConocoPhillips, Holiday Superstations, Walgreens, Sears, Kmart, Albertsons, Stop N’ Shop and others. With a reach of more than 25 million consumers in over 900 locations, Outcast delivers high quality programming and targeted advertising to nearly 6,000 digital LCD screens with rich audio in high traffic locations across the U.S. and in Toronto, Canada.

At Yahoo! Inc., Lyden played a key role in developing the company’s news, sports and entertainment properties worldwide. Prior to Yahoo!, he was director of business development at Internet Brands Inc., where he managed the product and business development initiatives for the company’s automotive websites, including CarsDirect.com. He also held a senior product position at Move, Inc., led a product turnaround for the flagship Realtor.com site, and worked in an operations planning role at The Walt Disney Company.

“Sean’s deep understanding of new media and track record of driving consumer acceptance of interactive services while increasing advertiser value will expand Outcast’s leadership in delivering effective, measurable media for our advertising clients,” says Gill.
