Clear Channel Airports, leading marketer of airport advertising, and Flagstaff Pulliam Airport, Flagstaff, Arizona, have signed a new 10-year contract under which CCA will be the exclusive advertising marketer for the airport.

As part of the contract, CCA will create a new Corporate and Community Showcase Program for area businesses and organizations, giving visitors to the Airport a chance to immerse themselves in the regions’ identity and personality more than ever before.

Through this program, CCA will be investing in state-of-the-art advertising displays, installing a high-tech corporate and community showcase at the gateway to Northern Arizona. This will be done with strategically-placed innovative digital displays and new technology including LCD screens, Tension Fabric Displays, and FLYsmart, CCA’s free location-based mobile app that allows air travelers to quickly locate services and amenities in terminals, as well as browse live feeds of arrival and departure information. Special showcase advertising packages will use the new digital technology to capture the attention of the more than 120,000 passengers and visitors who utilize the airport annually.

Barney Helmick, airport director of the Flagstaff Pulliam Airport, says, “Our facility is the main portal to the Sedona and Grand Canyon for leisure travelers and Clear Channel’s dynamic new technology and creative displays will help showcase the potential of our region’s leading businesses and attractions like The Lowell Observatory, Museum of Northern Arizona, and many others.”

As a focal point of the region, the new showcase program will allow leaders in the local business community to join each other to show their support for the Airport as an economic driver, and communicate the vitality of the region.

“Our goal is to create a program which will represent a cross-section of the entire business community,” says Toby Sturek, president, Clear Channel Airports. “This new platform will allow the local businesses to provide a warm welcome to visitors while maximizing the value of their advertising investment,”

A new digital display screen will be placed at a strategic location in the airport baggage claim area to provide inbound and outbound air travelers with information and promotional messages from participants in the Showcase program. Additionally, the Flagstaff Pulliam Airport will be added to FLYsmart. The FLYsmart app was originally developed to help passengers navigate their way through airports as well as showcase what the community has to offer before the passenger arrives into the Flagstaff area.

The Corporate and Community Showcase Program is a key driver in promoting tourism and economic development in the region. Area attractions have the opportunity to market to a captive and upscale audience.

“You can deliver a cost effective message to more than 120,000 tourists, vacationers and business leaders,” says David Lorenzo, CCA’s airports representative. “This audience has the demographic profile, resources, responsibility and education that businesses need to reach in order to succeed.”
