ISA Appoints New Director Of Education

Matthew Rumbaugh, previously the senior manager of education and training for the National Glass Association, has joined the International Sign Association as director of education.

Rumbaugh’s role is to look for opportunities to come alongside member companies as a partner in education, not just a content provider.

Rumbaugh has developed a variety of educational offerings, including a robust online training website and several on-site events.

“The days when someone will receive all of their education through a conference or training course are long gone,” Rumbaugh says. “To provide the best education, we must get into our members’ workflow and make sure they have the performance support that they need. I intend to spend a significant amount of time understanding what the industry needs and exploring the best way for us to provide that whether that is online, mobile, conferences or webinars.”

Prior to joining National Glass Association, Rumbaugh was a senior research analyst with the Corporate Executive Board, where he developed and managed an online survey tool to measure employee engagement levels and devise action plans.

“Education is vital to helping our members navigate the changing regulations and understand the latest technologies,”
says Rich Gottwald, ISA executive vice-president, addingthat Rumbaugh’s experience “will help to expand the educational opportunities that ISA provides to our members and the industry.”

The International Sign Association is a 2,300-member trade whose members are manufacturers, suppliers, and users of on-premise signs and sign products from the 50 United States and 60 countries around the world.
