The Screen 2011 Digital Perspective

As in 2010, digital signage networking group The Screen will focus its last event of 2011 looking back and reviewing another tumultuous year for the digital signage industry.

Digital Perspective 2011’ will be held at The Hospital Club in London’s Covent Garden on Tuesday 13th December and aims to assess another year of significant gains for both the digital out-of-home and digital retail markets.

If 2010 was the year DOOH turned the corner, then 2011 has been a year of accelerating development. Defying the gloom, there has been incredible new digital signage infrastructure investment in airports, rail stations, transport hubs and shopping centres. DOOH’s status as a major mainstream media has been further underpinned and, with the opening of the new Westfield centre in Stratford, its relationship with retail completely redefined.

To review all these developments and to ponder their impact on the wider industry, The Screen has brought together three key industry commentators, each representing different stakeholders from across the sector.

  • Tim Bleakley, CEO of Ocean Outdoor:
Tim will represent the DOOH view on 2011 and Ocean’s expectations for developments 2012.
  • Steve O’Neill, Head of Retail Marketing, HSBC Bank PLC:
Steve will represent the RETAIL view on 2011 and HSBC’s expectations for developments in 2012.
  • Dennis Kuperus, CEO, Digital EMEA at Kinetic Netherlands:
Dennis will represent the CLIENT view on 2011 and Kinetic’s European Vision for 2012.

To hear their unique review of 2011 and preview what promises to be an Olympic 2012, join The Screen for a misty-eyed reminisce over bagels and coffee on Tuesday 13th December and celebrate another excellent year for our industry whilst networking and debating the many points raised.

The event is free to Screen members and GBP 90 to others.
