New Appointments At ReelzChannel

Tim Shaw has been named director of national advertising sales and Adam Nash has been appointed account executive at ReelzChannel – TV About Movies, Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Shaw has 12 years of national sales experience in the entertainment industry and has served Reelz as an account executive since joining the network in Feb./11. He will be responsible for growing revenue through successful media and marketing partnerships and will operate out of Reelz’ New York City office.

“In just his first year here, Tim has had a big impact on our business,” says John deGarmo, ReelzChannel senior vice-president of sales and distribution. “His professional approach and his solid relationships with our clients have earned him this recognition, His responsibilities include calling on some of our most important clients and agencies as well as providing leadership to our sales force with creative packaging ideas and communications.”

Prior to joining Reelz, Shaw was at Turner Entertainment Sales from 2006-2011 where he handled sales for TBS, TNT and truTV properties and led efforts to implement sponsorships for Buffalo Wild Wings and Pizza Hut among other clients. During his tenure, he added more than 30 new advertisers to truTV/ Court TV. He had previously served as account executive for Court TV and earlier was an account executive at Paramount Advertiser Services

Nash will be responsible for generating revenue and creating unique marketing proposals from major clients, also based out of the New York City office.

Prior to joining Reelz, beginning in 2004, Nash served as vice-president of eastern region sales at TV Guide Network, where he helped develop the sales office and implemented strategies for integrating TV Guide’s magazine, website and interactive program guide with the television network as well as integrating promotional opportunities for leading broadcast and cable networks, including ABC and TNT. During Nash’s tenure, sales increased an average of 16% yearly for four years and revenue for awards show presentations increased 36% over two years.

Nash was previously an account executive at Discover Communications and at Turner Broadcasting Sales in New York City from 1992-1998 after beginning his career in 1989 as a broadcast negotiator for Darcy, Masius, Benton & Bowles..
