JiWire’s Snapshot Of Super Bowl’s Audience

With the Super Bowl attracting millions of fans from all across the U.S., JiWire looked across its entire network of the on-the-go audience connecting to cafes, hotels and airports, to determine the top 20 places that fans traveled from to attend Super Bowl XLVI and watch the New York Giants play the New England Patriots live.

The top five cities where fans traveled from for the big game were: Chicago, Boston, Detroit, Dallas, and Philadelphia.

Also in its small snapshot, JiWire measured the types of devices (tablets, smartphones and laptops) from which the on-the-go audience connected. Breakdown of the market share was: Smartphones – 47%; Laptops – 29%; Tablets – 24%.
