Shen, Milsom & Wilke are looking in New York City for an Audiovisual Department Manager with 12 years plus experience in the Audiovisual Design and Integration Field.

The individual must be a progressive leader with excellent communication skills, a strong technical AV background, knowledge of IT as it relates to AV and the ability to build collaborative relationships across the Company (and with a B.S Electrical / Computer Sciences Engineering or equivalent).

Requirements:

Outstanding leadership and team building skills

Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment

Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting requirements

Ability to effectively communicate, motivate and mentor others

Ability to manage the financial responsibilities of a key corporate profit center

Prior experience leading a multi-disciplined project team involving audiovisual/multimedia, acoustics, IT and Security

Ability to adapt to and thrive in a dynamic environment

Excellent verbal, presentation, and written communication skills

Departmental management experience

Strong affiliations and relationships within the Commercial Audiovisual Community

Responsibilities:

Facilitates Project Management initiatives; understanding the detail of all assigned projects

Working within the Senior Management Team – acting as the business unit liaison for bi-directional communication

Establishing Work Plans

Tracking and adhering to project budgets

Scheduling design, engineering and production resources

Tracking project deliverables

Business development / marketing (Foster and develop relationships with clients that will garner ongoing and continued business growth in all sectors of our consulting environment)

Preparation of proposals, and attendance of sales presentations

Technical Skills:

Full understanding of the architectural and engineering design and integration process

Demonstrated CAD skills and AutoCAD knowledge

Understanding of BIM / REVIT

Proficiency with the full Microsoft Office Suite
