Scala To Shut Its Paris Office

Adrian J Cotterill, Editor-in-Chief

In a letter to Scala partners dated February 28. 2012, Scala’s EMEA vice-president Frank Larsen (who we met f2f for the first time at #dse2012 last week – nice chap btw) announced that they would be closing their Paris office by May 31st.

This we understand is part of a move to reorganize global sales into three regions from five.

Scala will in future serve the France and Maghreb region from their European Headquarters in Maastricht.

In the letter to partners, Frank was quick to point out that, and we quote “Director of Sales Omar Kezouit, has our full support and will continue to be your prime contact and drive our relationship with you”

He added “We will continue to have French speaking services and Sales support”.

Tom Nix mentioned to us last year that he could see the value of having sales and services based out of the same location and the synergies that result from this model and this is, we feel, a very good move.
