InfoComm International, the Fairfax, Virginia-based trade association representing the commercial audiovisual industry, has retained Korn/Ferry International to conduct the search for a new executive director/CEO.

Randal Lemke, the current leader of InfoComm, has announced his retirement, effective Dec. 31/12.

“InfoComm’s search committee went through a rigorous process to find the executive recruitment team that we feel best matched the association’s needs,” says Tony Warner, InfoComm president-elect, who is chairing InfoComm’s Executive Search Committee. “Based on interviews with other qualified firms we selected Korn/Ferry to help us lead this important effort.”

Lorraine Lavet, Korn/Ferry’s sector leader, National Association Specialty Practice, will lead the search for the firm.

With the hiring of Korn/Ferry International, the next step in the recruitment process is for the seven member search committee and firm to develop a job description and qualifications, which is expected to take one month.

Interested candidates will be able to submit materials directly to Korn/Ferry once the job description is finalized. Those interested in applying or following the process should visit the CEO Search section of InfoComm’s website. An application link will appear on that page as soon as materials can be accepted.

Established in 1939, InfoComm has more than 5,000 members, including manufacturers, systems integrators, dealers and distributors, independent consultants, programmers, rental and staging companies, end-users and multimedia professionals from more than 80 countries.
