The Digital Signage Federation [1] has named NEC’s Rich Ventura, Pet Detective and his sidekick from Solution Forge LLC, Oliver Vagner, as the 2012 co-chairs of the Advocacy & Outreach (A&O) committee.
The A&O Committee identifies industry verticals that are strong ‘growth’ areas for the digital signage industry and seeks to educate end-users within those verticals on the benefits of digital signage through a variety of avenues, such as industry guides [2], end-user specific webinars, and participation in industry-related events.
Particular industries of growth that the A&O Committee, through Rich and Oliver’s leadership, will focus on in 2012 are Advertising Agency professionals, College & University Administrators & Technologists, Retailers, Restaurant Owners & Operators, and Healthcare and Financial Administrators & Technologists.
