Sony To Become The O2’s Official Screen Partner

Sony Consumer Electronics and its sister companies (including Sony Professional and Sony Computer Entertainment) have joined forces to deliver an incredible entertainment experience at The O2 in London.

As owner and operator of The O2, AEG will be working with Sony to roll out over 280 new BRAVIA displays throughout the venue over the coming months to enhance the overall experiences of its eight million annual visitors.

Matt Coombe, General Manager of Brand & Consumer Marketing for Sony Electronics, said “The Official Screen Partnership with The O2 represents a true Sony United showcase of our best technology, content and brand experiences, and a platform via which Sony’s full entertainment proposition can be most effectively demonstrated to our customers”.

Sony has also appointed agency Iris Worldwide to install a 120m2 experiential space that will be open year-round and will showcase the connected world of its latest products, services, content and entertainment platforms, such as Music Unlimited, and devices such as the Tablet S, PS VITA and latest mobile phones.

Sony are replacing Philips we believe in this deal. NEC also have a partnership with the O2 which currently runs until June 2013.
