Amscreen Gives Halifax Extra

“Is there no stopping Amscreen?” we asked back in December 2009 after we had just spotted an Amscreen install in a Halifax bank branch in the Dartford High Street.

Well, whatever trial they were doing may have taken several years but it seems to have paid off as news just in that Amscreen (the UK’s largest nationwide digital media network owner) has signed an agreement with Halifax that will see its screens installed in over 200 branches across the United Kingdom.

David Nicholson, Halifax Group Director was quoted as saying “Following a trial period, we are delighted to be able to extend the new technology into more of our branches.”

However, it’s our understanding that the screen’s demonstrated a high return on investment during the lengthy trial period. The bespoke network will advertise the bank’s own products and services.

Amscreen chairman Lord Sugar said “Customer engagement is absolutely paramount to a financial institution like Halifax and their investment in this technology is testament to the power of this screens and their ability to engage with customers. We hope to see more businesses using our platform to add value to the customer’s experience in this way.”

Simon Sugar, CEO of Amscreen, rang to tell us “We are thrilled to have signed the agreement with Halifax. Our screens have demonstrated positive results for them so far and will continue to do so as we install more screens in branches across the country. We look forward to working with them and hope it will encourage other banking institutions and retailers from other sectors to follow suit.”
