Daemon Brown joins VeriFone Media [1] as sales director after 15 years at JCDecaux where he was director of trading. He reports to Mark Roberts, VP and GM VeriFone Taxi and Media Solutions, and will head a growing sales team.
[1]That growth, we are told, reflects additional inventory of digital-enabled taxis in the VeriFone Media fleet.
Roberts said “Our growing digital platform makes this an exciting time for everyone at VeriFone Media and I am confident that Daemon will leverage our new NFC, contactless and geo-targeting products to expand our reach throughout the media marketplace.”
Brown commented “VeriFone Media are rapidly becoming leaders and innovators in the outdoor space. I was attracted by VeriFone Media’s clear investment strategy and determination to lead the way with new initiatives, such as providing NFC options to taxi advertisers.”
VeriFone Media’s ‘digi-liv’ integrated campaigns provide a bespoke taxi passenger experience inside and outside, broadcast and narrowcast, at the same time. The taxi inventory has grown to more than 5000 taxis this year, with 3000+ fitted with VeriFone Media’s 15” digital screens and 99% equipped with VeriFone card payment terminals. The 15” digital screens carry active Sky News updates, entertainment and adverts.
