Daemon Brown Joins VeriFone Media

Maddie Cotterill

Daemon Brown joins VeriFone Media as sales director after 15 years at JCDecaux where he was director of trading. He reports to Mark Roberts, VP and GM VeriFone Taxi and Media Solutions, and will head a growing sales team.

That growth, we are told, reflects additional inventory of digital-enabled taxis in the VeriFone Media fleet.

Roberts said “Our growing digital platform makes this an exciting time for everyone at VeriFone Media and I am confident that Daemon will leverage our new NFC, contactless and geo-targeting products to expand our reach throughout the media marketplace.”

Brown commented “VeriFone Media are rapidly becoming leaders and innovators in the outdoor space. I was attracted by VeriFone Media’s clear investment strategy and determination to lead the way with new initiatives, such as providing NFC options to taxi advertisers.”

VeriFone Media’s ‘digi-liv’ integrated campaigns provide a bespoke taxi passenger experience inside and outside, broadcast and narrowcast, at the same time. The taxi inventory has grown to more than 5000 taxis this year, with 3000+ fitted with VeriFone Media’s 15” digital screens and 99% equipped with VeriFone card payment terminals. The 15” digital screens carry active Sky News updates, entertainment and adverts.
