#CETW Symon Withdraws, Donates Funds to Red Cross

We’ve learned that, following much consideration. Symon Communications, Dallas, has withdrawn from the Customer Engagement Technology World taking place Nov. 7-8 in New York.

Charles Ansley, president and CEO, told us that while the company always gets a lot of business leads from #CETW, the enormous problems left by the storm made the company reconsider its attendance this year.

“Some of our own staff are still without power in their homes, and we have some 250 companies with about 600 sites in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut to try to help as necessary,” Ansley says.

“Plus there are logistical issues. So we’ve decided that we’ll take the money that we would have spent at CETW and will donate it in the name of our staff and clients to the Red Cross to help their efforts.”

While we feel for CETW, we have to applaud Symon in making what we see as a bold but surely sensible move?
