Citrix, Santa Clara, California-based developer of cloud, collaboration, networking and virtualization technologies, will acquire Redwood City-based Zenprise, developer of mobile device management technology.

Financial terms of the deal, expected to be completed in the first quarter of next year, were not disclosed. (Last November, Zenprise raised $30 million in a round of funding led by Greylock Partners.)

Citrix said it plans to integrate Zenprise’s mobile device management product with its own CloudGateway and Me@Work tools for managing mobile apps and data. This combination will give Citrix a solution for managing mobile devices, apps and data from a single, integrated enterprise mobility product line. This comprehensive approach can transform any organization into a truly mobile enterprise with the security and control IT requires, the ease of use and flexibility users desire, and the productivity business demands.

Subject to closing conditions including regulatory approval, Citrix anticipates closing on the acquisition during the first quarter of 2013
