Lorne Abony. CEO of Toronto-based Mood Media will be featured on the Emmy Award-winning CBS series Undercover Boss on Friday, Jan. 4 at 8:00 p.m. ET/7:00 p.m. CT.

In the episode, the disguised executive of the global experience design company worked hand-in-hand with employees who provide the company’s front-line services.

Mood provides a full range of solutions – including music, digital signage, messaging, social/mobile applications, location-based services and scent marketing – to retail stores, hotels, restaurants and businesses of all sizes, across the globe including hundreds of the world’s leading brands.

“This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity with ‘Undercover Boss’ enabled me to interact and connect with our dedicated employees in the field who work tirelessly to deliver exceptional service to our clients,” says Abony. “I was truly impressed with the commitment that our people have to Mood Media, their coworkers and our valued clients. Mood Media has grown exponentially over the last few years and this experience reaffirmed the importance of fostering a motivated, empowered, and passionate employee base.”

The first Canadian-born executive profiled on the American version of the hit television series, Abony is featured working on the front-line with employees and actively looks for ways to recognize employees’ dedication and create positive changes across the company.

Each week, ‘Undercover Boss’ follows a different executive as they leave the comfort of their corner office for an undercover mission to examine the inner workings of their companies. While working alongside their employees, they see the effects that their decisions have on others, where the problems lie within their organizations and get an up-close look at both the good and the bad while discovering the unsung heroes who make their companies run.
