It’s surely slightly careless of the DPAA to still be leaderless, but leaderless it is until they announce their new President. We note that Mike DiFranza, president of Captivate Network and DPAA chairman is also ‘acting president’ at this time.
Whilst the official press release (March 2013) stated, we quote “Danaher informed the board of her intentions more than 30 days ago … has identified several high-level executives as candidates to fill the position” – that’s actually not true. The truth of the matter is that Danaher knew she was leaving late last year and informed certain members of the board just before Christmas.
Three and a half months is actually an awful long time to find the right candidate.
