Shanghai Airport’s ‘Consecutive Visual Impact’

Adrian J Cotterill, Editor-in-Chief

Crystal Zhang from JCDecaux Momentum Shanghai Airport Advertising Co.,Ltd kindly sent us these pictures of three new digital networks launched recently in Shanghai Pudong International Airport covering respectively Terminal 2’s duty free area and business lounges, international arrivals and Terminal 1’s domestic and international arrivals…

There is no doubt that JCDecaux and its affiliates seem to have got the hang of this digital airport advertising – note in these pictures that they all feature ‘consecutive visual impact’, i.e. giving free rein to image flow based on the close connection between panels.

It all uses C-nario software and of course makes tremendous use of some of the unique features that C-nario has had to offer with detailed scheduling of close proximity panels.

Yael Elstein VP Marketing at C-nario when asked about this, told us “The project in Shanghai Pudong Airport further establishes C-nario as a global leader in digital signage. Our smart back-office system meets the needs and preferences of JCDecaux Momentum Shanghai Airport Advertising Company Ltd., helping the advertising sales process, while our smart scheduling engine auto-generates unlimited playlists. Everything is centrally managed by our digital signage platform.”
