SoloHealth, Atlanta-based healthcare technology company, is adding a Vitamin Assessment module on its SoloHealth Station consumer kiosks located in Sam’s Club stores.

The exclusivity to Sam’s Club members provides another health and wellness service that empowers them to take charge of their health.

In addition to the Vitamin Assessment, the SoloHealth Station provides screenings for vision, blood pressure, weight, and body mass index, a symptom checker as well as an overall health risk assessment, all on kiosk screens.

Sam’s Club is the first and only retailer to offer the SoloHealth Station in every ‘club’ nationwide, providing its members free daily access to the platform’s valuable health services and information. Since the first kiosks were installed in Sept./11, more than 5.5 million club members have participated in almost 9 million screenings.

“We applaud Sam’s Club for being a true pioneer and leader in the health and wellness space as well as its passionate commitment to its members,” says Bart Foster, CEO and founder of SoloHealth. “We look forward to continue working with Sam’s Club to develop and offer services that will provide value and help produce better health outcomes.”

“At Sam’s Club, we drive member awareness of health issues by differentiating our menu of services and solutions to allow members to take control of their health,” says Jill Turner-Mitchael, senior vice-president of health and wellness for Sam’s Club. “From our magazine and health management solutions to innovative services like the SoloHealth Station, Sam’s Club strives to keep our 47 million members aware of preventive tools and solutions to live better day-to-day.”

The new Vitamin Assessment takes users through a simple touch-screen process and prompts users to answer a series of questions pertaining to daily nutritional intake, health and fitness routines, as well as specific health issues and concerns. Questions range from what kinds and amounts of fruits and vegetables consumed to activity levels to current health concerns. Based on the responses, the module produces individual product recommendations unique to each user with three vitamin supplement suggestions and detailed product breakdowns.

A free bilingual platform, the self-service SoloHealth Station is a healthcare access point for consumers providing screenings for vision, blood pressure, weight, and body mass index, a symptom checker as well as an overall health assessment. SoloHealth also connects consumers to local professionals through its databases, helping people enter the most appropriate and accurate point in the health care system.

To date, more than 20 million consumers have interacted with the SoloHealth Station and average more than 4.5 minutes per session. The Stations are currently located in more than 3,000 retail locations nationwide, expanding to more than 5,500 store locations by early 2014.
