Terry Meets Julie, Waterloo Station

Millions of people swarming like flies round waterloo underground will soon see what is very likely the largest indoor advertising LED anywhere in the world.

The LED, housed in London’s Waterloo Station [1], which measures 40m x 3m provides 120m squared of ad space (brands will either be able to showcase content across the entire screen, or split it into equal segments to create a sort of story board) is scheduled to go live at the end of September. It’s operated of course by the recently-launched JCDecauxLive division.

Marketing Week exclusively revealed back in early July [2] that the likely launch advertiser would be Audi.

JCDecaux UK’ Director of Digital Strategy Tim Harvey will be presenting at our Barco sponsored Thought Leadership Summit entitled ‘Billboards Unplugged [3]‘ as part of New York Digital Signage week and no doubt, like he did back in May [4], will make mention of this iconic new display BUT this time (as it is public) explain it all in a lot more detail.

Barco have nearly 200sqm of 4mm in the Comcast experience in Philadelphia and another 385sqm of 5mm product in the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum in Dallas.
