STRATACACHE Launches Optika Specialty Display Division

Optika Display, a new specialty display division, has been launched by STRATACACHE, Dayton, Ohio-based provider of scalable, high-performance digital signage, content distribution and enterprise video acceleration technologies.

OPTIKA_logoAlso to be located in Dayton, Optika Display will expand STRATACACHE’s specialty display service offerings for its Digital Merchandising, Digital Signage and Digital Interactive solutions worldwide.

“The global digital signage systems market is on the rise, expecting to reach $13.8 billion by 2017,” says Chris Riegel, STRATACACHE CEO. “As digital continues to redefine the model for out-of-home customer engagement, there is a huge opportunity to capitalize on specialty displays capable of integrating with new digital experiences (higher brightness, ruggedness, reliability, etc.).”

Breaking into this promising display market, Optika will focus on resizing LED displays, specialty glass, specialty lighting, glass coatings, and specific interfaces (multi-touch, etc.). Along with serving the needs of specialty industries including transportation, military, automotive, and gaming, Optika will also serve traditional display markets in QSR, Retail, Gaming, Financial, Service, and Digital Out-of-Home advertising.

Jason Meyer has been hired to oversee and manage the growth of the new division. An expert in the field, Jason joins Optika with an impressive background in engineering and LCD enhancements in outdoor displays.
