Zoom Helps NABS Celebrate 30th Birthday In Canada

The National Advertising Benevolent Society (NABS) [1] will celebrate its 30th birthday in Canada later this week by holding a very special gathering Sept. 26 at the Four Seasons Hotel [2] in Toronto.

nabs_logo [3]Described as an ‘Enchanted Evening’, the event is a way for the industry to show its appreciation to NABS, says Lynne Clark, the event chair and Microsoft Advertising [4] director of marketing.

Founded in 1983 and entirely supported by the industry, NABS offers assistance to Canadian professionals in the marketing and communications fields facing personal, career and family challenges due to illness, injury, unemployment or financial difficulties. NABS has contributed more than $8 million to thousands of industry colleagues and their families. NABS’s Quebec chapter ‘BEC’ (Bénévolat d‘entraide aux communicateurs) [5] provides services in French and English.

In total, Zoom has now donated over $600,000 in proceeds generated by ad space sales in its Agency Network, making it one of the largest contributors to NABS and BEC.
